data-appear-animation=\"fadeInUpShorter\" data-appear-animation-delay=\"400\"><strong>BENEFITS FOR CARDHOLDERS<\/strong><\/p>\n<p data-appear-animation=\"fadeInUpShorter\" data-appear-animation-delay=\"400\">The APEC Business Card (ABTC) cuts through<br>the red tape of business travel and gives<br>frequent business travelers per-cleared entry to<br>participating APEC economies. Cardholders<br>enjoy:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li data-appear-animation=\"fadeInUpShorter\" data-appear-animation-delay=\"400\">Fast-track entry and exit through special<br>APEC lanes at major airports, and multiple<br>short-term entry to these economies for a<br>minimum of 59 days stay each visit;<\/li><li data-appear-animation=\"fadeInUpShorter\" data-appear-animation-delay=\"400\">No need to individually apply for visas or<br>entry permits each time you travel to any of<br>the participating APEC economies as the<br>card is your visa.<\/li><li data-appear-animation=\"fadeInUpShorter\" data-appear-animation-delay=\"400\">Cards are valid for three years from the first<br>issue.<\/li>\n<\/ul><\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-tab-title elementor-tab-mobile-title\" aria-selected=\"false\" data-tab=\"2\" role=\"tab\" tabindex=\"-1\" aria-controls=\"elementor-tab-content-2282\" aria-expanded=\"false\">WHY THE CARD WAS DEVELOPED<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<div id=\"elementor-tab-content-2282\" class=\"elementor-tab-content elementor-clearfix\" data-tab=\"2\" role=\"tabpanel\" aria-labelledby=\"elementor-tab-title-2282\" tabindex=\"0\" hidden=\"hidden\"><ul><li>The APEC Business Travel Card was<br \/>developed in response to the need for<br \/>business people to gain streamlined entry to<br \/>the economies of the Asia-Pacific region.<br \/>This enables business people to explore new<br \/>business opportunities, attend meetings, and<br \/>conduct trade and investment activities.<\/li><li>The card was originally trialed in 1997 with<br \/>three APEC members (Australia, Korea, and<br \/>the Philippines) and was expanded in April<br \/>1998 to include Chile and Hong Kong (China).<br \/>After a successful evaluation, the scheme<br \/>commenced permanent operations from 1<br \/>March 1999, when New Zealand and<br \/>Malaysia announced their participation.<br \/>Brunei Darussalam, Peru and Thailand joined<br \/>the scheme in February 2001, China in<br \/>February 2002, and Indonesia in August<br \/>2002. Since then, Chinese Taipei, Japan,<br \/>Singapore, PNG, Vietnam and most recently<br \/>Mexico have signed on to the Scheme.<\/li><\/ul><\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-tab-title elementor-tab-mobile-title\" aria-selected=\"false\" data-tab=\"3\" role=\"tab\" tabindex=\"-1\" aria-controls=\"elementor-tab-content-2283\" aria-expanded=\"false\">PARTICIPATING ECONOMIES<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<div id=\"elementor-tab-content-2283\" class=\"elementor-tab-content elementor-clearfix\" data-tab=\"3\" role=\"tabpanel\" aria-labelledby=\"elementor-tab-title-2283\" tabindex=\"0\" hidden=\"hidden\"><p>There are 21 economies currently participating<br \/>in the ABTC Scheme: Australia, Brunei<br \/>Darussalam, Chile, China, Hong Kong (China),<br \/>Indonesia, Japan, Korea, Malaysia, Mexico, New<br \/>Zealand, PNG, Peru, the Philippines, Singapore,<br \/>Chinese Taipei, Thailand and Vietnam. Canada,<br \/>the Russian Federation and the United States<br \/>are currently Transitional Members of the<br \/>Scheme, which allow cardholders from all<br \/>participating economies to use \u2018fast-track\u2019<br \/>immigration lanes (currently designated for aircrew)<br \/>at major international airports.<\/p><p><br \/><strong>Please note: Cardholders will still need to present valid <\/strong><strong>passports and visas if required by existing United States <\/strong><strong>and\/or Canadian law.
