The Malay Chamber of Commerce Malaysia (Dewan Perniagaan Melayu Malaysia – DPMM) was established in 1957 under the name ‘Gabungan Dewan-Dewan Perniagaan Melayu Se-Malaya (GDPMM)’, registered under the number \u201c1101 Selangor.\u201d However, the roots of this association date back to 1938 when the Malay Traders Association in Kelantan founded the Kelantan Malay Chamber of Commerce. Following this pioneering step, Malay Chambers of Commerce were subsequently established in other states.<\/p>

In 1974, the organization underwent restructuring and was renamed the Malay Chamber and Industry of Malaysia. Later, in 1992, it adopted its current name, Dewan Perniagaan Melayu Malaysia (DPMM).<\/p>

From 2020 onwards, DPMM began using the abbreviation \u201cDEWAN MELAYU,\u201d in line with its renewed vision and mission.<\/p>

As a non-political and non-governmental organization, DEWAN MELAYU is governed by Malay entrepreneurs from various industries and sectors across Malaysia. It is recognized as the principal custodian of the Malay economy, wielding influence not only over its members but also over the broader Malay business community.<\/p>

DEWAN MELAYU works closely with other chambers of commerce within the National Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Malaysia (NCCIM) and other national business organizations. The launch of “The Future Begins Tonight” by Prime Minister Dato\u2019 Seri Najib Tun Razak on January 29, 2018, marked a pivotal moment in DEWAN\u2019s efforts to usher in a new economic narrative for the Malay community.<\/p>

To date, DEWAN MELAYU has 15 branches nationwide, including in Sabah, Kuala Lumpur, Putrajaya, and Labuan, connecting the broader business community through shared services, information, and guidance.<\/p>

DEWAN MELAYU also offers extensive opportunities for Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) and other industries, providing business networking, entrepreneur development, and business advisory services to the community.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t
