OCTOBER 4, 2024 – The Halal Industry Development Council of DPMM held a post-mortem session with industry representatives to assess the outcomes of the recently held Malaysia Halal Ecosystem Transformation Workshop.
The main focus of the discussion was the National Halal Policy. We collectively agreed that only with a strong and comprehensive policy can we align the overall structure of the halal industry. This is crucial for advancing certification processes, talent development, industry marketing, and fostering a robust and competitive halal ecosystem.
We are very grateful for the constructive feedback from all parties involved. The next step is to ensure that all the proposals put forward are translated into concrete action plans to strengthen the halal industry in Malaysia and on the international stage.
